My best friend, uncle, and I just returned from an epic 10 days in Japan. We travelled to Kyoto, where we visited many temples and experienced several festivals celebrating the change of seasons from Winter to Spring (the custom is to throw dried beans at the devil), Nazawa Onsen in the Negano region for 4 days of the best ever skiing and “Onsening” (i.e., bathing in hot springs ranging from scorching to lukewarm, accompanied by a plunge pool and dry sauna), and then Tokyo for a spot of shopping in quintessential Japanese boutiques and dining in top-rated restaurants. You can see pictures of the trip here, but as for now, here’s my second WIAW post. Drool away!
